Deshay’s Designs finds its roots deeply embedded in the vibrant community of Seminole, Florida, a place where founder, Deshay Milas, grew up. “From Madeira and Oakhurst Elementaries to Seminole Middle, I ultimately graduated from Seminole High School before heading to Florida State University. After moving around the southeast, I returned home with my husband - another Seminole native - and daughter in 2013 to be closer to family. This area holds a special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled to bring a passion for design to my hometown,” says Milas.

Her passion for interior design began at a young age, beginning with an interest in redecorating her bedroom and play areas. “You might say that Barbie and Ken were my first clients! I loved seeing how simply changing the furniture layout in a room could create a whole new feeling and function in the same space.” That intrigue eventually led Milas to Parson’s School of Design, where she became certified in interior design and architectural software.

Before embarking into the world of design, Deshay's professional background was anchored in accounting and finance. Through her experiences in the corporate world, which included working for a Big 4 audit firm, a national homebuilder, and an international environmental company, she honed her skills in financial management, process efficiency, and strategic planning. Today, this background lends a unique perspective to her design approach, along with her keen eye for detail and project management skills. Clients can trust that their design projects will be both aesthetically pleasing, but also executed on-time and on-budget.
